What is the registration fee?

It is $50/year for the General/Associate Member, $10/year for the Post-doctoral Fellow/Student Member, and a one-time $1000 for lifetime members. 

How to be a member?

You can go to https://aabps.org/membership-application-form/ and fill out a general form to start the process. You may then choose a payment type from the bottom of this page: https://aabps.org/memberships/

Where is the head quarter?

Members of the organization are located nationwide across the USA. Members of the Executive Committee are also located in different cities. The organization does not operate from any headquarters. 

When was it established?

The organization was formed by a group of pharmaceutical scientists of Bangladeshi descent attending the 1997 American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientist (AAPS) Annual Meeting in Boston

How long is the membership valid?

The membership is valid for 1 year, and has to be renewed after 12 calendar months. The only exception is the lifetime membership, which does not have any expiration. 

Is the membership good for a year starting from the date of application or the last day of the year?

The membership is valid for one full year from the date of making the payment. 

My wife is also a pharmacist in BD but she is on F2 visa. Can she be a member?

Individuals currently residing in the USA with a pharmacy degree from Bangladesh is qualified to apply for a membership. 

I did MBBS in BD, now doing PhD in pharmacology. Can I be a member?

Yes, people with medical background are also eligible to apply for a membership. 

I am a PharmD, can I be a member?

Yes, students of the PharmD program and individuals who have finished their PharmD are also eligible to become member. 

What do I gain by joining AABPS?

What scientific affiliations does a member need to have? e.g., chemistry, pharm sci, pharmacology etc.
